Moscow 1962

It was the first concert after the triumphal tour around the USA. Also, it was the climax of the Khrushchev's Thaw. Traditionally, Moiseev's ansamble prepared a dance of the host contry for each tour. What else could you chose for the USA, except for the ultra-popular rock'n'roll. So they did. And after the end of the tour they showed it at Chaikovsky's concert hall at the very end of the performance under the name of "The dance of parody". At least the playbill called it this way.

This LP presents The Beatles' song Here Comes The Sun (arranged by E. Israelov) sung in English by Rero vocal-instrumental orchestra from the Soviet Georgia. Record shows the song title and authors listed in Russian as Восходит солнце (Д. Гаррисон – П. Маккартни), which means The Sun Arises (G. Garrison – P. McCartney). Here it is worth noting the unusual Russian spelling of George Harrison's surname and also the fact that actually he is the one and only author of this composition...

Baltimoore – THERE'S NO DANGER ON THE ROOF LP with Beatles' song.

Album THERE'S NO DANGER ON THE ROOF (1989) by the Swedish rock band Baltimoore is the first LP in their discography. As it is stated on the back side of the sleeve (at the right lower part), this record was manufactured in 1991 by Lad joint company (Акционерное общество "Ладъ" – in Russian) under license of the Swedish WORLD RECORDS MUSIC company at the Leningrad Recording Plant. On the labels this former Melodiya's plant is listed as "St.-PETERBURG FACTORY".

The sleeve's spine shows the original catalogue number of BOZZ company – BOLP 5004 [see Pic. 1]. The back side of the sleeve (the right lower part) additionally shows the catalogue number of Lad company – MK 235038. Very rare Soviet THE BEATLES 2LP set - A HARD DAY'S NIGHT + A TASTE OF HONEY (Melodiya С60 23579 008)

Almost simultaneously with issuing of two single albums A HARD DAY'S NIGHT and A TASTE OF HONEY Melodiya (USSR) began to release the double album presented here, which contained the same two records. The title for this double album was given according to the title of record 1 – A HARD DAY'S NIGHT (with the corresponding sleeve design). The catalogue number is the same that the single LP A HARD DAY'S NIGHT has, but "(Комплект из 2-х пластинок)" (which means "(2LP-set)") is stated on the back side of the gatefold sleeve. And the price correspondents with two LPs – 7 rubles...

Практически одновременно с выпуском двух одинарных альбомов A HARD DAY'S NIGHT (ВЕЧЕР ТРУДНОГО ДНЯ) и A TASTE OF HONEY (ВКУС МЁДА) фирма "Мелодия" (СССР) начала выпуск представленного здесь двойного альбома, в который вошли эти же две пластинки. Название этому двойному альбому было дано по названию первой пластинки – ВЕЧЕР ТРУДНОГО ДНЯ (с соответствующим оформлением обложки). Каталожный номер – такой же, как у одинарной пластинки ВЕЧЕР ТРУДНОГО ДНЯ, но на оборотной стороне разворотной обложки указано: "(Комплект из 2-х пластинок)". И цена соответствует двум пластинкам – 7 рублей...
